The forested peak of Javornik rises to the southeast of Črni Vrh. The panoramic tower on Javornik reaches above the treetops and offers a magnificent view to the Dolomites, the Carnic and Julian Alps, the Karawanks, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and Mt. Snežnik.
Make sure to find the Pirnat hut on the eastern slopes of Javornik: the hospitable hut keepers cook amazing dishes. The hut also offers accommodation.

- Furlan Chapel
The recently renovated chapel is named by the Furlan Farm in the vicinity. A folk legend claims that the master of the Furlan Farm had it build in gratitude for surviving the plague. - Church of St Judoc
- Memorial plaques of Dr Frančišek Lampe and Matej Cigale in the park
Frančišek Lampe, doctor of Theology and Philosophy, was born in Zadlog. He is the founder of the magazine Dom in svet, has written several philosophical works and published Zgodbe iz Svetega pisma, Bible stories. He died in 1900.
Matej Cigale was born in Lome in 1819. He edited the German-Slovenian dictionary published in 1860, he translated the statutory law and the mining law into Slovenian. He died in 1889. - Memorial to the fallen fighters of the 3rd Battallion of the Gradnik Brigade
Unveiled on 21 September 1980, the memorial stands in memory of 47 NOB fighters who lost their lives on Javornik on 23 December 1943. In 1797, the first memorial hike to Mt. Javornik was first organised on the Sunday in december closest to the date of this tragic event. The hike has become traditional. - War Museum

Trail description
Reaching the starting point: From the direction of Ljubljana, drive to Logatec, then towards Godovič. When you reach Godovič, take the second exit (Črni Vrh) at the roundabout. Park in the centre of Črni Vrh, next to the park.
From the direction of Idrija, take the Zala Valley road to Godovič. At the roundabout, take the first exit to Črni Vrh. Park in the centre of Črni Vrh, next to the park.
From the direction of Nova Gorica, take the Vipava Valley road to Ajdovščina, then continue towards Col and Črni Vrh. Park in the centre of Črni Vrh, next to the park.
Trail description: From the centre of Črni Vrh, turn right at the store, go past the library, and after 200 m, join the main road toward Col. After the first hairpin turn, you will notice a signpost directing you to the left on the footpath to Javornik. The path will first ascend through a forest, and soon traverse the first gravel road, where you continue straight ahead. When you reach the second wider gravel road, follow it to your left to ascend until you reach another gravel road. This will lead you left past a cross and a chapel to the hamplet of Šajsna Ravan. Before you reach the hamlet, blazes will direct you right onto a wide gravel road. After a few steps, you will reach a marked crossroads in the immediate vicinity of houses.
Continue straigh ahead in the direction of Javornik (turning sharply right would take you to Čelkov Vrh). The path will lead past houses and ascend a grass-covered hill. Higher up, the road branches out right to Kampelc; keep to your left and reach the forest in a few steps. Ascend throught the forest, travers a larger clearing, and continue with a few shorter ups and downs. The path will soon return into the forest and lead you from the north to the south slopes. Here, the path veers slightly left and continues through the forest. You will reach a marked crossroads. Turn left in the direction of Javornik (going slightly to the right would take you to Pirnat hut) and see the path grow steeper. The last part of the path will take you through the forest up to the top of Mt. Javornik with a panoramic tower. A short, 5-minute descent will lead you to the Pirnat hut.
Trail option: If you wish to shorten your hike, you can drive to Šajsna Ravan. In this case, drive toward Col from the centre of Črni Vrh. After seven hairpin turns, pay attention to the first sharp turn left. Turn onto the gravel road to the hamlet of Šajsna Ravan, where you can park along the road.
