About the IDRIJA SELECTED Trademark

The IDRIJA SELECTED collective trademark was established with the intention of connecting local manufacturers/providers and providing a joint presentation of the diverse selection of quality products, produce, and services of the Idrija region. It features products that are based on innovativeness, quality, tradition, and local heritage. With the selection of high-quality products, corporate visual identity, and joint promotion, the goal of the trademark is to make the local products recognisable and to add value to the products, produce, and services.

Development of the Trademark

The first Idrija Selected products were certified in 2018 when 17 manufacturers with 34 products were awarded the certificate. There are currently more than 170 certified products and 43 certified manufacturers in the collective trademark registry.

Because we want to connect as many manufacturers and their quality products, the call for applications for the certification will be open in the following years as well. The call for applications is published by the Idrija Tourism Board which also coordinates all activities connected to the collective trademark. Aside from the assessment provided by an external committee and the awarding of certificates, there are promotional and counselling activities, workshops and meetings for manufacturers/providers and potential manufacturers/providers organised throughout the year.
